Ever think, eh, I’ll risk it. I’m not payin’ that much for nothin’ to happen. Been there. Regretted it too. Our warranties hold their value. This means: if you don’t use it in 5 years, you can put that money on any unit that is equivalent to the purchase price of the unit.

What does that mean? So let’s say you buy a $999.99 refrigerator with a 5 year $199.95 warranty. If anything goes wrong, then you’re covered for that service call for parts and labor. And if something goes really wrong, you also got some food coverage for $300. Awesome!

However, we sold you a dang good ‘fridge. So nothing went wrong all those years. Now, you can walk in the store and purchase anything for $999.99 and get $199.95 off the price! So if you’ve needed an excuse to buy a new wall oven, or maybe one of those fancy beverage centers with the glass doors — use that warranty money!

Weve had this LG since Sept. 2020. We love the side by side features and the freezer. The bottom line is its extremely independence. We dont know if its going to run for 3 weeks or 3 months. Weve had 3 compressors installed. The last tech put a large scratch/deny in it when it was moved in/out against the countertop.

I bought this Dec 22 2022. So far it is nice in the inside. It is very bright and has a ton of space. The reason for 3 stars is that it doesnt have an icemaker in the freezer. You have to take the ice in the refrigerator door and poor it into the ice container in the freezer. I felt that this was very deceiving. Since it had an icemaker container in the freezer I figured that there was an icemaker in the freezer. It does leak water when you use the icemaker on the door. I noticed that was a big complaint. I was going to return it and go with another brand but low stock and the hassle made me keep it.

The fridge and freezer do not cool properly. It took 5 tech visits 3 ppl - Over 20 hrs before it was deemed not repairable. It took 2.5 hrs to get a refund. The same fridge is now $1000 more. My deliver was supposed to be in 2 days now delayed 15 days. I have to function with a fridge I had to purchase in the garage for now almost 10 weeks. I have purchased 13 LG products in 26 months 2 diff homes and now regret my purchases.

I purchased this refrigerator a couple of months ago as part of 4 piece kitchen appliance package. Always owned a side x side refrigerator/freezer so going to a French door unit was new to me. Even though the cubic foot capacity is the same as my old side x side there is a lot more usable space. The only recommendation I have is for more bins or dividers available for the freezer drawer. I went out and purchased some plastic bins to help me separate my food to make it easier to find things.
