Ever think, eh, I’ll risk it. I’m not payin’ that much for nothin’ to happen. Been there. Regretted it too. Our warranties hold their value. This means: if you don’t use it in 5 years, you can put that money on any unit that is equivalent to the purchase price of the unit.

What does that mean? So let’s say you buy a $999.99 refrigerator with a 5 year $199.95 warranty. If anything goes wrong, then you’re covered for that service call for parts and labor. And if something goes really wrong, you also got some food coverage for $300. Awesome!

However, we sold you a dang good ‘fridge. So nothing went wrong all those years. Now, you can walk in the store and purchase anything for $999.99 and get $199.95 off the price! So if you’ve needed an excuse to buy a new wall oven, or maybe one of those fancy beverage centers with the glass doors — use that warranty money!

Ive had this refrigerator for about a month and my wife and I love it. Fit into a tight space made for refrigerators from the 1970s with no problem. Period for approximately the same outside dimensions. We are able to hold much more food in this refrigerator and so far is doing an excellent job of providing us with good ice cold filtered water and plenty of space.

We bought our fridge 5 years ago through Home Depot with the extended warranty. I would say the fridge is fine nothing fancy about it. Ice maker is a little frustrating as ice cubes get stuck together and you have to break apart ice chunks to get the ice tray to fill again. Not that big of a deal. Why Im giving LG the 1 star review is that the warranty program and customer communication surrounding the warranty is horrendous. Our fridge broke 2 weeks ago and we have yet to have someone come out to look at our fridge. My husband and I have called multiple times and no urgency has been given to our matter. Was told we would be getting our money back if we havent had someone assigned to our account within 10 days. Day 10 someone was and have yet to hear from them. Communication on what to expect as regards to when someone would come out to service the fridge goes a long way

Not happy with my new Lg refrigerator since day one I had issues with ice maker never made enough ice a year later freezer just stopped working and thawed all my food i noticed water leaking from freezer and food had to be thrown away not cooling/not freezing food and not making ice at all the ice tray would rotate at all. So I was so mad because I buy at Costco pretty much everything including the bad refrigerator Im talking about.. I called LG and they got it fixed and the ice tray was not working since the beginning thats why It never made enough Ice. People who shop Costco know meat comes in large packages and its expensive and I was never offered a refund on any of my food I had to throw away. Overall NOT HAPPY with LG refrigerator

Let me tell you I love it I have 2 young adults and with the other it wasnt big enough now with the double freezer I have my own drawer and they have there own. Enough room for everybody. No complaints all good. We each have a shelf and I love how the one goes back so we can put tall items in as well. It was a time getting it in the house had to have a 2nd crew bring it in 1st didnt want to to mess with any of it. Had to wait another day spoiled food. But the 2nd crew knew what they were doing . Very Happy Mom

I was so thankful all I had to pay for was the labor. The LG help desk was so kind and helpful the techs they referred to come out to our home was amazing. For the first year or so everything went smoothly. Then around 2 months ago it stopped working. I have spoken to numerous customer service people and 2 supervisors. One named Jay was to call me back next day but never did. Refrigerator has been broken for 2 months. The repair man is coming back in 5 days to try again. I have been told numerous times that a refund request has been sent in but is repeatedly denied. Apparently there is a class action suit involving this refrigerator. I will never buy another Lg product. Customer service is all good and great on the phone but after 2 months I still dont have a refrigerator. Everything in the cooling system including the compressor condenser freezer fan and other parts have been replaced. We still have a CH error code and no cooling is going on. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

No one would touch this thing because of the R600 refrigerant. No one would even make an attempt at a repair out of the 7 companies I had come look at it. While it is still under warranty LG would not help me as I was not the original purchaser and had no proof of purchase voiding the warranty.

This refrigerator has nice features especially the WiFi capability via LG ThinQ and Alexa. However I am not at all impressed with how little ice it makes. I read umpteen reviews before choosing this model and never once read anyone complain about the minimal ice it makes what gives The water/ice maker chopper dispenser and storage tray are all house in the upper left hand refrigerator door and it simply doesnt make enough ice for 2 people on a hot summer day let alone a family of 6 like ours even on the Ice Plus setting. In our experience the Ice Plus setting does NOT make ice any faster and you still have to be around t empty it into the freezer drawer bin before it will begin to make more. It seems like a lot of the new refrigerator models are doing the entire ice maker in the4 door now including the storage compartment and unfortunately I am just not a fan. Apart from that we like most everything else about this refrigerator.

We have had this fridge for 3 years now and for the most part it has worked well until a few weeks ago when it quit altogether. It was repaired under warranty and is now just fine except the ice maker keeps hanging up the ice sticks together It did that before the repair as well

I did quite a bit of research prior to purchasing this refrigerator. I wanted one that had ice and water in the door but still has room for condiments on the inside door. I also liked the idea of a small pull out drawer to store items I get out almost every day. This fits the bill for everything along with the LG name which I prefer for appliances.

We bought the Refrigerator 5 years ago in 2018. This review was promoted by a compressor warranty repair 7 days before its expiration. Helpful telephone support and repair. Although we like the overall design layout French Doors and 2 Freezer drawers we have never liked the performance of this Fridge. It freezes food on upper left side adjacent to ice maker and other sections are over 40 degrees which is not cold enough. The doors are hard to balance if floor is uneven. The ice from the ice maker quickly tastes bad. Hard to see the touch targets for water or ice especially in the dark. Since the touch control settings dont lock any inadvertent missed touch often resets the Fridge and/or Freezer temps. We wanted to like this Fridge but we dont.

We originally bought an LG refrigerator because it was recommended to us. Then the compressor went on it when it was only a few years old. It caused my whole kitchen and hardwood floors to have to be replaced. That remodel was finally finished in October. In November we bought a new refrigerator and decided to go with LG. In April we came home to water all over our floor. My kitchen island woodwork was all warped and needed to be replaced. The water maker decided to dispense water on its own because it felt like it. The LG repair guy has been out 4 times and it still is not fixed. My husband has tried to contact LG but no one gets back to him. I am so disgusted with them I will never buy an LG product again. I might add that all 8 TVs in my house are LG. This refrigerator needs to be replaced. LG does not stand by their products. The video is too big to post but we have a video Also my husband had spoken to the President of LGs office and now conveniently they will not call back.

I purchased this refrigerator over 6 months ago and we love it. The layout is great with easily adjustable shelves and an icemaker in the left door so it doesnt waste space. It maintains an even temperature throughout and the crispers work really well.

Its a nice refrigertor when everythings works properly. Not even 3 years old and two repairs including replacing the coil and compressor. The technicains are fabulous but could not tell me that repairs like that are unusual. I think its crazy that I had to have an independent repairman confirm that the compressor wasnt working properly in order to have the LG tech come out and do the repair under warranty

My husband and l purchased this fridge 4 years ago. Love the style of the freezers on the bottom and all the functions especially the smug resistance stainless steel. Wipe with a microfiber cloth and shines like new. However the compressor failed after only four years. Yes it was under warranty which LG covered with relative ease.but loosing all that food and not having a fridge for more than a week was expensive. We tried and failed to keep it cool with ice but in the end most of what we had needed to be tossed. And eating out because of fear also was expensive. They did kindly give us 150 for the groceries but we spent a lot more refilling. We miss the old days when a fridge or any appliance for that matter would last Spending that kind of money is an investment.
